Basic Discussion
Substitution Table-এর তিনটি কলামে যথাক্রমে Subject, Verb ও Object/Predicate অংশ দেয়া থাকে[cite: 1]। Context বা প্রসঙ্গ অনুযায়ী অর্থবহ ৫টি বাক্য গঠন সাপেক্ষে উত্তর করতে হবে[cite: 1]। বাক্য গঠনের ক্ষেত্রে Verb-এর ভূমিকাই মুখ্য[cite: 1]। মূলত Verb-কে কেন্দ্র করেই বাক্যের subject ও object অংশ নির্ণীত হয়[cite: 1]।
Pattern-1 : Subject + verb (intransitive)
গঠন সূত্র: \( \text{Subject} + \text{Verb (Intransitive)} \)
| Subject | Verb | Subject | Verb |
|---|---|---|---|
| Birds | fly. | The sun | rose. |
| Fire | burns. | The moon | is shining. |
| It | was raining. | She | was singing. |
সমাধান ও ব্যাখ্যা: এটি সবচেয়ে সাধারণ pattern যেখানে subject এর পর একটি intransitive verb বসে যা অন্য কোনো শব্দের সাহায্য ছাড়াই বাক্যের পূর্ণাঙ্গ অর্থ প্রকাশ করে[cite: 1]।
- প্রতিটি লাইনে: 'Birds', 'Fire', 'The sun' ইত্যাদির (Subject) পর 'fly', 'burns', 'rose' (Verb) বসেছে কোনো Object ছাড়াই[cite: 1]।
- প্রতিটি লাইনে: 'Birds', 'Fire', 'The sun' ইত্যাদির (Subject) পর 'fly', 'burns', 'rose' (Verb) বসেছে কোনো Object ছাড়াই[cite: 1]।
Pattern-2 : Subject + verb + subject complement
গঠন সূত্র: \( \text{Subject} + \text{Verb} + \text{Subject Complement} \)
| Subject | Verb | Complement |
|---|---|---|
| This | is | a pen. (n) |
| His brother | became | a soldier. (n) |
| It | is | me. (pron.) |
| That book | is | mine. (pron.) |
| The milk | has turned | sour. (adj.) |
| The children | kept | quiet. (adj.) |
সমাধান ও ব্যাখ্যা: উক্ত pattern এ complement হিসেবে noun, pronoun, adjective অথবা একটি clause ব্যবহৃত হতে পারে[cite: 1]।
- লাইন ১-২: Complement হিসেবে Noun ('a pen', 'a soldier') ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে[cite: 1]।
- লাইন ৩-৪: Complement হিসেবে Pronoun ('me', 'mine') ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে[cite: 1]।
- লাইন ৫-৬: Complement হিসেবে Adjective ('sour', 'quiet') ব্যবহৃত হয়েছে[cite: 1]।
